Why TROU

TROU — The Rest of Us. A Footscray-based arts organisation running creative programs with young people from culturally diverse and underrepresented communities. Our facilitators are working artists from the same communities as the young people we work with — so the skills get taught the way they're actually used. Programs run across music, spoken word, visual arts, and DJing, in partnership with schools, councils, and community organisations across Naarm/Melbourne.

Music

The TROU Music Development Program is an eight-week creative music program built for young people who want space, guidance, and confidence to express themselves through music.

DJ

The TROU DJ & Electronic Music Program is an eight-week program for young people who want to learn how to DJ — beyond just pressing play. Mixing, music selection, reading a room, and the basics of electronic production.

How It Works
